Belgium : BELGACOM purchases additional CISCO mobile internet products [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Belgian telecommunications service provider Belgacom has purchased additional Cisco mobile internet products to support development of its mobile network. According to the information, the Cisco ASR 5000 Series will allow for unified management of Belgacom s existing 2G and 3G services, and also presenting a foundation for the service provider s new Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. Belgacom also expects to see immediate benefits from operating 2G, 3G and 4G on the same platform, and also the use of the Cisco ASR 5000 Series for its mobile network will enable access innovation, such as carrier Wi-Fi, small cells and HetNet self-organising network (SON) .
