nTelos Wireless Selects Alcatel-Lucent LTE Technology to Support Alliance with Sprint [Professional Services Close - Up]


(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Alcatel-Lucent has been selected by NTELOS Holdings to provide 4G LTE network services for the nTelos Wireless network build-out in West Virginia and parts of western Virginia.

According to a release, the network will serve an additional 2.1 million people. This is the third network expansion provided by Alcatel-Lucent since nTelos Wireless launched its LTE network in 2013. Alcatel-Lucent has worked with the wireless provider since 2000.



nTelos Wireless is deploying Alcatel-Lucent's 4G LTE solution, including multi-technology Radio Access Network, Mobile Backhaul, and elements within its Evolved Packet Core (EPC) as part of its network expansion into West Virginia and parts of western Virginia serving an additional 2.1 million people.
