Thailand : ALCATEL-LUCENT modernizes INTERLINK optical transport network [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Alcatel-Lucent is implementing its Agile Optical Networking services to change the network of Thailand broadband provider Interlink Telecom, which has deployed its network along railways and major road routes across the country, connecting to neighboring Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Malaysia. Interlink Telecom will get Alcatel-Lucent s DWDM technology with the 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) platform integrated with the Wavelength Tracker feature. The service of Alcatel-Lucent is being implemented during Phase I of the project being launched in September, in 42 stations covering Thailand s eastern and southern regions, comprising the busy stations of Bangkok and Phuket.
