France,Spain : FRENCH TELECOM ORANGE plans to acquire JAZZTEL [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) For buying Spanish fixed-line operator Jazztel, French telecom Orange declared that it has made a 3.4 billion euro bid. Orange, formerly France Telecom could develop Spain's second-largest fixed broadband carrier and third-largest mobile network operator, if the acquisition proceeds. According to Orange, it would provide shareholders 13 euros per share, 34 per cent above the price of the market. Jazztel's chairman Leopoldo Fernandez Pujals will get the offer which is officially presented to shareholders.
