CSSI Wins 5-Year, $8.5 Million Separation Standards Contract


WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)--

CSSI, Inc., a leading provider of transportation and mobility solutions to government and commercial clients, was recently awarded an $8.5-million, five-year contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide separation standards analysis support at the William J. Hughes (News - Alert) Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

CSSI will provide domestic and global RVSM assistance, performance-based navigation (PBN) support, international separation standards monitoring and ATC-system analysis as it relates to NextGen (News - Alert). This contract will help the Separation Standards Analysis Branch advance changes in air traffic control system separation standards and meet the mandate delegated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to the United States.

Track Record of Success

CSSI has a 17-year history of providing separation standards support, and has played an integral role in the development and implementation of Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) in the United States and abroad. CSSI serves as the FAA's lead contractor for domestic RVSM (DRVSM) implementation and remains the sole contractor supporting the safety oversight of DRVSM. CSSI is also the sole support contractor of periodic RVSM safety risk assessments for the sovereign airspace of Canada and Mexico, and has supported the development of internationally harmonized RVSM guidance material and monitoring requirements.
