Securis Now Holds NAID's CSDS Certification in Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Chantilly, VA (PRWEB) September 16, 2014 Securis, a leader in electronics recycling and data destruction services, announced today that four of their locations have certified secure destruction specialists (CSDS) on staff. The CSDS accreditation, awarded by The National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) is given to individuals who demonstrate a high level of competency and understanding surrounding issues pertinent to secure data and product destruction.

To achieve CSDS certification, individuals must pass a 300 question exam that covers the governance pertaining to a secure chain of custody, data protection legislation, secure destruction operations, ethics and the NAID Complaint Resolution Process, records and risk management principles, and more.

Certified Securis team members comprise almost 5% of those who are CSDS certified in North America. "Congratulations to all of our Securis owners and staff who have completed and passed the exam," said Jeremy Farber, Securis' CEO and Founder.
