New Artist Friendly Pay-Per-View Platform ETV.com Launches

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BEVERLY HILLS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/12/14 -- Alki David's FilmOn TV Networks announced today the creation of ETV.com, a new platform that lets artists, businesses and consumers launch their own interactive pay-per-view events just as major corporations have with rock concerts and sporting events for years.

ETV.com lets anyone get their online event out to the world and monetize it -- without any special software or equipment, just a laptop and a webcam. Users can produce their event, sell tickets and merchandise, and interact with fans with ease. The user keeps 80% of the viewer fees and 100% of the tips (which can also be directed to charity). All events are archived for time shifted views to allow for further monetization.

The platform can handle third party streaming technology like Xsplit, Flash Media Encoder, Tricaster and others, right down to simple iPhone or Android app streaming. Streams are easily embedded into social media channels -- and the platform allows for a moderator to field questions and activity from viewers.

"I've built FilmOn with all of its free content and interactive elements to deliver the richest, most immersive entertainment technology can offer," says David. "Now I've added the 'Killer App' if you will: an additional way for affiliates, partners and new users to make money." A major event on ETV.com was announced last week -- a Hip Hop match up that shook up the music world, presented by FilmOn.com's Battle Rap TV channel and the Fresh Coast Media Group. The rapper Cassidy will come out of retirement to verbally duel heavy weight battle artist Dizaster in an event on Dec. 6. (The pay-per-view for this event is already selling at etv.com/rap).

"ETV will do for battle rap what the UFC's events did for Mixed Martial Arts," says David. "It lets us stage next level, must see events that will elevate the genre -- and this newly resurgent competitive art form." ETV has exciting events to announce in the coming days that will stitch culture and politics across three continents. But David has always been focused on active audiences -- not just passive ones.

"I can't wait to see what the public does with this platform," David says. "Between its money making possibilities and the access to FilmOn.com's 60 million monthly unique users, the possibilities are endless." Please let us know if you'd like to be on the list to receive future ETV.com announcements, or to request an interview with Alki David, or any of the talent associated with ETV projects.
