United States : ADTRAN allows NWTA to advance FTTH initiative [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) As part of its Enabling Communities, Connecting Lives programme, Adtran is allowing the Northwest Telecommunications Association (NWTA) to enhance its Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) initiatives to about 400 communities throughout Oregon and Washington.



Now, with over half of NWTA members standardised on Adtran's broadband platform, service providers in the region can deliver high-capacity FTTH services.

The NWTA membership delivers service to over 1,300 schools, government facilities, libraries, public safety centres, hospitals, clinics and churches in Oregon, moreover to about 30 in Washington.


Through Adtran's Total Access 5000 platform, NWTA members can provide Gigabit broadband, VoIP and IPTV services to customers along with support tier 1 wireless carriers.
