More joy on the go - mobile telephony now with far more power for the same price

(Tensid Regulatory Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Zurich, 4 September 2014 More joy on the go - mobile telephony now with far more power for the same price Since 28 April 2014, upc cablecom has been offering its customers an attractive mobile telephony offer based on simplicity, transparency and fairness. Now the company is going one step further by considerably increasing the power with immediate effect - all for the same price. The Mobile Plus offer for CHF 29/month now includes 1,000 instead of 100 minutes to all Swiss networks and 1,000 instead of 100 text messages, while Mobile Super for CHF 49/month includes 10,000 instead of 400 minutes to all Swiss networks and 10,000 instead of 400 text messages as well as 10,000 MB of mobile data. The new offers are even better suited to the use of additional services such as Horizon Go. upc cablecom is thus offering its customers unbeatable value for money.

When upc cablecom launched its mobile service on 28 April 2014, the major Swiss online comparison site comparis.ch praised the fact that for most users it represented the best offer and tariffs available on the Swiss market. Now, the subsidiary of Liberty Global is going one step further: it is significantly increasing the power with immediate effect - without increasing the price.

Mobile Plus for CHF 29/month now includes 1,000 instead of 100 minutes to all Swiss networks, and 1,000 instead of 100 text messages, as well as 1,000 MB (unchanged) and unlimited calls to the upc cablecom fixed and mobile networks. The power of Mobile Super is being increased even more drastically: for CHF 49/month, customers will now receive 10,000 instead of 400 minutes to all Swiss networks and 10,000 instead of 400 text messages - that is 25 times more! On top of that comes 10,000 instead of 4,000 MB and unlimited calls to the upc cablecom fixed and mobile networks.

Ralf Beyeler, telecom expert from comparis.ch, said: "upc cablecom offers low-cost mobile subscriptions. Particularly for heavy users, upc cablecom is much cheaper than the competition. It is just a shame that these offers are only available for customers in the footprint of upc cablecom."Existing customers also set to benefit from the new offers The new offers are available until 31 January 2015 and will be valid for the entire duration of the contract. Not only new customers, but also existing customers will benefit from the significant power increase from 1 October 2014. As in the past, subscriptions with the most popular smartphones from Apple, Samsung and HTC are available to customers at unique prices.

More joy with all of our services on the go Following the launch of Horizon Go, the television for on the go, and Wi-Free, Switzerland's biggest WiFi network, upc cablecom is continuing to pursue its goal of offering its customers more than just mobile telephony services. upc cablecom will also launch the upc Phone app this year, the landline for on the go. Ivo Hoevel, Senior Vice President Marketing & Products: "By blurring the boundaries between the different worlds, we are now offering even more power, even more entertainment and even more joy, including on the go." The new price plans and the data volumes included clearly underline this. The company is thus building on its leading position as a full-service provider and at the same time offering the best value for money.

The considerable increase in mobile telephony power should also have a positive impact on customer satisfaction in this area - which is already very high. Customers value the three simple and clear price plans, the fair and transparent billing by the second and/or per kilobyte, and being connected all the time without limits thanks to free calls to the upc cablecom fixed and mobile networks. They also value the fact that there is only one single bill and one contact for all products (mobile telephony, fixed network telephony, television and Internet).
