Working Digital attracts top class speakers for this year's event

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) East Ayrshire County Council - Amber Atherton -- owner of cult online jewellery boutique, myflashtrash.com, and former star of TV show, 'Made in Chelsea' --is to share the secrets of her business success in Kilmarnock this month.

The 23 year old is a headline speaker at East Ayrshire Council's 'Working Digital' event, which takes place at the Park Hotel, Kilmarnock from Tuesday 23 September until Thursday 25 September 2014.

She will be joined by Martin Steele, IRN-BRU Brand Group Manager at Barr's.

He will give an insight into how one of the most iconic Scottish brands uses digital to "have fun" with its consumers, and push the limits of conventional advertising to the edge.

Hubspot, IBM, Glasgow 2014's Digital Manager Paul Giblin, cyber-security expert Michael Williamson, and guerilla marketing group Kommando will also deliver talks.

They will be joined by carefully selected, fast growing Ayrshire businesses including Transcribe UK, elite personal trainer Ricky Singh, and Largs retailer Sugar and Spice.

Jim Dunn, Business Adviser, East Ayrshire Council, said: "This is an incredibly high calibre line up. The knowledge and experience that these business owners bring and the advice they'll share on how to benefit from digital makes this year's 'Working Digital' an absolute must attend for every business in Ayrshire and beyond.

"Last year's event was a huge success, with many of the delegates, networking, making good links and using what they learned to further their business. Digital marketing can appear complex and confusing and we hope with these sessions to show people how they can make it work specifically for their businesses." Tickets are free but spaces are limited. Business owners who want to attend should visit www.workingdigital.co.uk and click the 'book tickets now' link to secure their spot.

This year's Working Digtial is subtitled 'Adopt a digital attitude' and aims to encourage businesses to embrace the possibilities offered by digital technologies. This includes websites, social media campaigns, and innovations to engage mobile consumers.

Each Working Digital session will follow the themes of 'Teach me', 'Show me' and 'Inspire me' with a mix of how-to demonstrations, workshops and keynote speeches followed by question and answer sessions.
