Avecto reports record YoY growth

Boston MA, August 27, 2014, Cambridge-based security software company Avecto has today released its annual results revealing revenues of $14.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 26 percent (131 percent over the last three years).

To support its rapid growth, Avecto grew its staff by 65 percent over the last year, with more than 100 employees now based across Avecto’s offices in the US, UK and Australia. The ongoing growth has also sparked a renewed recruitment drive, including the launch of a new graduate scheme, as the company seeks to attract further talent across all areas of the business.

Since its inception in 2008, Avecto has invested heavily in research and development in order to ensure continued innovation in its award-winning Privilege Guard technology. The company has over 4 million global users, including seven of the world’s biggest banks, nine aerospace leaders and three F1 teams.

Mark Austin, CEO at Avecto said: “Our focus on continued product innovation has been fundamental to our success. We’ve carved out a market-leading offering which allows businesses to balance security with user freedom.

“It’s been an incredibly successful few years. Once again, we’ve reported double digit revenue growth and the whole team deserves enormous credit.

“To hit the 100 employee mark is a very important milestone and we’re committed to building upon this achievement as we continue our recruitment drive. We have a very important few months ahead, and with some major announcements on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to be at Avecto.” The figures follow a number of recent successes for the firm, with co-founders Paul Kenyon and Mark Austin jointly winning the EY Northern Technology Entrepreneur of the Year award in the UK. Avecto was also recently named a Silver Stevie Awards winner for Company Growth in the 11th International Business Awards. This summer, the firm was also cited as a ‘vendor to watch’ by global analyst firm Forrester and last year it was named the fastest growing software company in the UK according to Deloitte’s Fast 50 ranking.
