du and Microsoft offer Xbox One pre-order [T-break Tech (Middle East)]

(T-break Tech (Middle East) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Microsoft is hoping to make a big splash with the Xbox One launch in the UAE and is seeking out every avenue to facilitate ample reach. After launching the pre-order campaign across retail stores in the region last month, Microsoft has now teamed up with local telecoms du to offer gamers a chance to pre-order its next-gen video game console.

du will be offering the de-Kinect Xbox One bundle only, which costs AED 1,749 and includes a standard controller, a HDMI cable, a mono headset, 14 days Xbox Live Gold trial, and five games, namely FIFA 15, Forza 5, Halo Spartan Assault, Max Curse of the Brotherhood and Loco Cycle. The pre-order is now available via du’s online shop. The Xbox One will be delivered to customers from September 5th onwards.

"We're excited to announce Microsoft Xbox's partnership with du as part of the Xbox One pre-order campaign in the UAE," said Kerim Ozbakirci, Category Manager – Xbox, Microsoft Gulf. "Through this partnership, du customers will be able to pre-order the Xbox One via the du Online Shop. We are confident that this partnership will bring the Xbox One to the living rooms of du subscribers, where they can enjoy a rich gaming and entertainment experience with friends and family." Recently, Microsoft also announced that it will be supporting Xbox Live with local apps for the Xbox One. While international apps like Netflix and Hulu won’t be supported, a slew of local apps such as ICFLIX, du TV and Al Jazeera will be available at launch.
