Teradici CTO Randy Groves Named to 2014 CRN Top 100 List

BURNABY, British Columbia --(Business Wire)--

Teradici®, developer of industry-leading PCoIP® technology for virtual workspaces, announced today that Chief Technology Officer Randy Groves has been named to the 2014 CRN Top 100 list.

CRN's annual Top 100 list salutes the key players who continue to shape the way the channel does business and are hand-picked by the CRN editorial staff to represent the top influencers, sales leaders, innovators and disruptors in the IT channel. Groves has been acknowledged by CRN as one of the Top 25 Innovators of 2014, an honor awarded to executives that are bringing new, game-changing technology to the market and driving huge sales and profits in emerging technologies.

"We're pleased to congratulate Randy on this well-deserved award in recognition of his professional achievements, including his extensive experience designing computer systems, software and microelectronic devices," said Dan Cordingley, president and CEO of Teradici. "Randy has been involved with Teradici since our founding, serving as a board member before assuming the role of CTO. Under his leadership, Teradici has driven continuous innovation of the PCoIP protocol to meet the industry's most stringent standards for security, performance and ease-of manageability for virtual desktop and application delivery."

Teradici PCoIP technology is well established as a key ingredient of today's virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) and remot workstation offerings by the world's leading service providers, OEMs and broad partner ecosystem. The protocol compresses and encrypts the entire computing experience securely in the data center and transmits it as 'pixels only' to a user's device for an outstanding result.

"The CRN Top 100 list is the 'Who's Who' of the IT channel," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. "Each individual on this list has left an indelible stamp on the IT channel this year. Some are industry veterans with innovative leadership styles. Others are rising stars who have demonstrated a deep commitment to the channel. All deserve recognition for helping push the channel forward toward new market opportunities."

The CRN Top 100 list is based on feedback gathered from technology solution providers throughout the year by CRN editors with rankings reflecting each company's channel influence, effectiveness and visibility, along with its business and sales impact on the IT channel. Among the criteria considered are channel sales volume, channel investment and resources, channel advocacy, and performance in research projects conducted by The Channel Company's CRN Intelligence research arm, including its esteemed Annual Report Card and Channel Champions reports.
