OAKLAND, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Navis, a part of Cargotec Corporation, and the provider of operational technologies that unlock greater performance and efficiency for the world's leading terminal operators, today announced that registration is now open for the company's 11th biennial user conference, Navis World 2015. Navis World 2015 will take place from March 29 - April 1, 2015 at the Intercontinental San Francisco Hotel. Navis World has become well known as the industry's premier conference, providing insights on how terminal operators use technology to optimize the movement of containers through their facilities.

During the three-day event, more than 300 participants will look forward to informative sessions and networking events. Industry leaders will present the most up-to-date best practices and case studies on how marine terminal operators can optimize and improve their operations through the use of Navis' N4 terminal operating system (TOS) and other partner technologies.

Sessions at Navis World 2015 will be organized in four tracks:

1. The Move to N4: These sessions will give terminal TOS and IT experts critical and technical information about N4 TOS implementation and functionality and provide best practices on how to get the most from N4 and Navis Services before, during and after the go-live.

2. Enhancing Operational Productivity: Terminal operations managers participating in this track will learn what they need to do to better optimize the movement of containers through their terminals.

3. Maximizing Performance with Terminal Automation and Optimization: In this track, terminal executives and operations managers will focs on current trends in automation and how the latest automated solutions can and are helping to improve container handling performance.

4. Supply Chain Performance and Terminal Productivity: Senior terminal and supply chain executives can participate in this track to get up to date on international trade trends, container shipping statistics, carrier - terminal collaboration, port development, transport logistics and how all of these factors affect container terminal operations.

"In a time where vessels are getting bigger, turnaround times must be faster and operations need to be streamlined, it's evident that neither one terminal nor one technology solution alone can solve these large and very real challenges for our industry," said Andy Barrons, Sr. VP and CMO of Navis. "We are proud that Navis World has become a conduit for partnership, education and dialogue among key marine shipping professionals and look forward to continued collaboration and innovation to advance the industry together at this year's event."

Navis partners currently committed to participate in Navis World include Kalmar, Symeo, APS Technology Group, Versiant, and TBA. Navis World is also open for additional sponsors. For more information on registration, sponsorships and speaking opportunities, please visit www.navis.com/navisworld.
