Vitesse CTO Joins Expert Panel at 4G WorldCAMARILLO, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq: VTSS), a leading provider of advanced IC solutions for Carrier, Enterprise and Internet of Things (IoT) networks, announced that Martin Nuss, chief technology officer at Vitesse, will outline security imperatives for Enterprise Mobility in 4G LTE (News - Alert) and LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) mobile networks at 4G World, co-located with CTIA Super Mobility Week, from September 9-11, 2014, Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas. Dr. Nuss will speak during the 4G Enterprise Mobility track on September 11, 2014 at 2:15 pm local time. The session, "4G Mobile Network and Device Security," will focus on the scope of the BYOD mobile security challenge, with an eye towards prioritizing the threats and discussing best practices for protecting corporate data and 4G networks within this new environment. Alongside experts from Gigaom Research, MobileIron and dBrn Associates, Dr. Nuss will explore how operators can leverage GPS alternatives like IEEE (News - Alert) 1588 to enhance network security in their 4G LTE and LTE-A networks and why secure 1588 technologies will be pivotal to 4G network success over the long term. Dr. Nuss has over 20 years of technical and management experience and is a recognized industry expert in Ethernet technology including timing and synchronization for public and private communications networks. He serves on the board of directors for the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS (News - Alert)) and is a fellow of the Optical Society of America and IEEE member. Dr. Nuss holds a doctorate in applied physics from the Technical University in Munich, Germany.
