SageBIOS BSP for 'Bald Eagle' enters final testing(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 06 August 2014 Release date- 04082014 - Sage Electronic Engineering has begun final testing on a SageBIOS Board Support Package (BSP) for the AMD chip line codenamed 'Bald Eagle' and expects a BSP release in mid-September. The 28-nanometer AMD chip technology is expected to enable considerable embedded development in gaming machines, medical imaging, digital signage, industrial control and automation, and communications and networking infrastructure, with its 4K visual display, the advent of ultra-high definition. Bald Eagle is AMD's initial implementation of its Heterogeneous Systems Architecture (HSA), which frees the power of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) for non-traditional workloads.
