Hercules Adds Thomas Fallon, CEO of Infinera, to Its Board of Directors [Global Data Point]

"Tom is an accomplished business leader who has extensive experience leading innovative companies," said Hercules Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Manuel Henriquez. Since 2013, Fallon has served as chief executive officer of Infinera Corporation, a publicly traded optical telecommunications company, and he has been a member of its board since 2009. From January 2010 to June 2013, Fallon served as Infinera's president and chief executive officer. Prior to that, Fallon served as chief operating officer and vice president of engineering and operations at Infinera. Before joining Infinera, Fallon served as vice president, corporate quality and engineering operations for Cisco Systems, Inc., a networking and telecommunications company. Fallon joined Cisco in 1994 and held a variety of roles including general manager of its Optical Transport Business Unit, vice president of Service Provider Manufacturing and vice president of Materials. Fallon holds a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently a member of the Engineering Advisory Board of the University of Texas at Austin.



The Company also previously announced that Joseph W. Chow did not seek re-election as a director and has retired from the board when his term expired immediately prior the 2014 Annual Meeting, which was held July 8, 2014.

"Hercules has benefited from his financial, credit and operational insight as well as his dedication to the highest standards of corporate governance. We thank him for his outstanding service, contributions and wish him well in retirement. He will be greatly missed," Henriquez said.
