Alstom will take applications for 2015 internship program


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 04 August 2014 Release date- 01082014 - Alstom, a multinational metro-railway equipment and infrastructure solution and power generation and transmission company, will accept applications for its annual trainee program.



The candidates can apply from August 1st to September 30th at www.alstom.com.br. Approximately a total of 60 positions will be open for Brazil and the program will last from 12 to 24 months, depending on the practice field.

The applicants must be enrolled in higher or technical education, scheduled for completion in the next couple of years (between late 2015 and late 2016). The prerequisites are: intermediate English (for some positions), excellent communication and interest in working in large multinational companies. The workplaces are the units of Sao Paulo (capital), Taubate (SP), Jaguariuna (SP), Itajuba (MG), Canoas (RS) and Camacari (BA).


The higher education courses considered in the program are: Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Psychology, and Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Telecommunications, Materials, Production, Environmental, Electrotechnics, among others). Among the technical courses are: Electrical, Electrotechnics, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Occupational Safety. The selection consists of resume screening, group dynamics, classroom tests and interviews with area managers. Last year, there were more than 10 thousand applicants.

The program provides a strong investment in training and development of the approved candidates, through monthly meetings that allow monitoring of the trainees' progress, addressing specific topics such as Presentation Techniques, Introduction to Project Management, Ethics in the Workplace, Team Work, among others. Moreover, the professionals are encouraged to work on a project throughout his/her trainee experience, with the opportunity to work with the company's executives. All approved trainees will be evaluated every six months.

Selection Schedule: August and September - Application period September to November - Group dynamics and classroom tests September to December - Interviews with managers October to December - Hiring and agreement preparation January - Program start and integration of the new trainees Alstom will also be present in five student fairs in the coming months. They are: IX Job Shop (UNIFEI - Itajuba), on August 12 and 13, Integrative Workshop (POLI - USP), between August 13 and 14, UNESP Opportunity Workshop (Guaratingueta), between August 15 and 16, and also Recruta FEI 2014 (Sao Bernardo do Campo), which will take place on August 26 and 27. The events are open to the public and free.
