Rep. Eshoo Introduces Bill to Enhance Information Technology Procurement

Eshoo, D-Calif., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5255) to "enhance the procurement of information technology by establishing a United States Digital Government Office and United States Chief Information Officer." The bill was introduced on July 30 and has four co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Reps. Gerald E. Connolly, D-Va., Richard L. Hanna, R-N.Y., Eric Swalwell, R-Calif., and Suzan DelBene, D-Wash.



The legislation was referred to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
