United States : ORACLE to acquire TOA TECHNOLOGIES [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oracle is to acquire TOA Technologies, which deals in provision of cloud-based field service software.

The deal was announced by Oracle on July 31 and said added that the completion of the transaction is expected during this year. Financial details were not disclosed.

TOA software facilitates coordination and management of activities between dispatchers, mobile employees and customers. Its Field Service SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) tracks requests from contact centers, schedules field service reps, monitors existing inventories as well as predicts service timeframes which helps in making field operations more efficient. Its customers include DISH Network, Home Depot, Telefonica, Virgin Media and Vodafone.



Oracle is planning incorporation of TOA applications in cloud-based and on-premise enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and online customer service and support applications.

David Vap, group vice president of product development for Oracle, said, The addition of TOA expands Oracle's ability to provide end-to-end personalized customer service solutions with the addition of critical face-to-face field service interactions, enabling visibility into customer history throughout the customer relationship lifecycle.
