John McMahon Joins Thinking Phone Networks' Board of Directors

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 Thinking Phone Networks, the innovative leader in unified communications as a service (UCaaS), today announced that John McMahon, former EVP of Worldwide Sales at Bladelogic and BMC, has joined its board of directors.

"We are thrilled to have John join our board," said Steve Kokinos, President & CEO of Thinking Phone Networks. "He has a tremendous background in building and nurturing successful businesses in the software industry, and his experience will be instrumental in ensuring our continued leadership in the enterprise cloud communications market." At BMC, McMahon was responsible for $1.4B in annual revenue. McMahon joined BMC after the company acquired Bladelogic, where he was COO and EVP Sales, for $872M. He was instrumental in Bladelogic's IPO and consistently grew revenues at over 100% year over year to $70M. Prior to Bladelogic, McMahon was in executive management at three public software companies, including Ariba, where he grew B2B marketplace revenues 100% year over year; GeoTel, where he grew worldwide network call routing software sales 100% year over year to $52M prior to an acquisition by Cisco for $2B; and PTC (CAD/CAM), where revenues increased from $1M to $1.1B in just nine years.

Currently, McMahon serves on the board of directors at Sprinklr (social resource management), Snowflake Computing (data warehousing), and Sumologic (big data analysis). He also acts as a sales and operations consultant at a number of software companies, including Hubspot, Glassdoor, and Clearslide.

"Any company getting ready to install an on-premises voice system instead of a cloud-based UC platform is misguided," said McMahon. "Thinking Phones' ability to improve workplace collaboration at a fraction of the cost is yielding huge productivity benefits for customers. Having an integrated set of tools on a single platform means rapid, seamless communication among workers, while back end analytics provide unparalleled insight. If you are running a growing company and need a flexible way to scale, Thinking Phones is a no-brainer."
