DIRECTV FILES (8-K) Disclosing Change in Directors or Principal Officers(Edgar Glimpses Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ITEM 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers Resignation of Chief Accounting Officer and Replacement On July 23, 2014, John Murphy, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of DIRECTV submitted his written resignation which will be effective August 14, 2014. Mr. Murphy is resigning to pursue other career opportunities. Patrick Doyle, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will also serve as Chief Accounting Officer upon Mr. Murphy's resignation. Mr. Doyle, age 58, has served as Executive Vice President since October 2008 and as Chief Financial Officer since October 2007 when he was also appointed as Senior Vice President. Mr. Doyle also served as Treasurer from February 2012 until July 2012. He served as Treasurer, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of the Company from June 2001 to October 2007. He was appointed Corporate Vice President and Controller in July 2000 and Treasurer in June 2001.
