So when one of its own employees found her apartment flooded, the company surprised her with a check for $1500. "If it weren't for Associa Cares, I would be struggling to make up the money I've had to spend on my move," says Diane Hampson. "It gave me the ability to make up for some of the losses I incurred." Hampson was recently presented with the check after her top floor apartment unit in East Dallas was flooded following heavy rains in late June. She was allowed to break her lease since the complex had not adequately maintained the roof but they offered her no compensation for the damage to her personal items including her mattress which turned into a waterlogged, muddy mess and was not covered by her renters insurance. "The day before I was to purchase a new mattress on a '90 days same as cash' program I opened the envelope and saw the amount they'd given me, I shouted 'There's my 90 days same as cash,'" recalls Hampson. "In short, what Associa Cares did was make a horrific situation bearable. I am extremely grateful for the quick action they took and cannot thank them enough!" Hampson works at Associa's Client Shared Service Center in Richardson (News - Alert) and has been with the company for 11 years. She says, "It's one thing to say 'One Team, One Family.'
