Six Apart Relocates Global Headquarters to New York City

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/29/14 -- Six Apart, international provider of award-winning content management software and services, has relocated its official headquarters to New York City. Previously, Six Apart's main offices offering global support were based in Tokyo. This move puts Six Apart in a more strategic position to cater to high-demand markets around the world, especially within North America.

The relocation proves that Six Apart is committed to serving the growing North American market. Although Six Apart has several established offices in the country, there has been an increasing need for additional support and resources. Continual innovations in software, mobile and digital media are transforming the technology industry at an unprecedented rate, and Six Apart strives to provide customers with the leading products and solutions. By relocating its headquarters to North America, the place where many of these ideas originate, Six Apart can more readily stay in front of this evolving landscape.

"This is an exciting and important decision for us," said Nobuhiro Seki, President and CEO of Six Apart, who has also relocated from his home in Tokyo. "Being in New York City will help Six Apart move into a new phase by allowing us to better serve our global customers, take advantage of local talent and expand our business partnerships and acquisitions." Notably, Six Apart's new headquarters will be located in the Fueled Collective co-working space, which has housed a number of well-known start-ups and technology companies, including Foursquare, Thrillist and ZocDoc. In this hub of innovation and entrepreneurship, the Six Apart team can commune with some of Manhattan's most forward-thinking professionals. The collaborative atmosphere will help foster creativity and inspiration for Six Apart's future efforts.

The move also gives Six Apart's Japanese-traded parent company, Infocom Group, a larger presence in the U.S. Infocom Group established its U.S. holding company, Infocom America Inc. (IAI), in 2001 to conduct preliminary research to penetrate the U.S. market. The role of IAI in the San Francisco Bay Area has been elevated due to Six Apart's relocation as well as a recent partnership with Fenox Venture Capital. With the higher brand recognition of Six Apart, Infocom Group puts itself in an optimal position to partner with American businesses, establish distribution channels and potentially export new technologies to Asian markets.
