China,Italy,Taiwan Province of China : TELECOM ITALIA to run pilot project on LTE-A Technology for public in this month [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Telecom Italia recently has rolled out a trial operation of the LTE-A technology on the TIM s 4G network in Turin, becoming the most recent member of the LTE-A group. The Italian telco has earlier revealed that the operation is the first live trial of LTE-A technology meant for the people to facilitate users to attain speeds of 180 Mbps for downloading, reflecting about double the highest theoretical speed now accessible on mobile networks of Italy. The operator has announced that the download speeds of 180 Mbps is possible due to carrier aggregation, while the merger of the 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz spectrum bands has facilitated Telecom Italia with such feat. Telecom Italia has revealed that jointly with Huawei, Ericsson and Qualcomm Technologies it has been carrying out its LTE-A product development for more than a year now.
