(National News Agency (Lebanon) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NNA - Minister of Telecommunications, Boutros Harb, sent a letter to mobile operators Alfa and Touch asking them to conduct in-depth study on their networks to uncover the cellular numbers being used to make illegal international calls. He dubbed such practices as "illegal" and "unlawful" as they harm the revenues to the public treasury. Reports have been coming in to the proprietors committee of the Telecom ministry about mobile phone numbers making pirated international calls while bypassing the legal international gateway. These numbers were now under pursuit for legal action. Harb requested the dissolution of the contracts of the owners of these cellular numbers and asked both Alfa and Touch to file a complaint to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Finance against said mobile owners. ===========R.Z.
