California Resident Elected to Ducks Unlimited's National Board of Directors

(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 22 -- Ducks Unlimited issued the following news release: Mark Low, of Susanville, California, was elected to Ducks Unlimited Inc.'s national board of directors during the organization's annual convention held recently in St. Louis.

"The leadership of our board of directors ensures we are fulfilling our mission to conserve, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl," said DU CEO Dale Hall. "Our board members are not paid for their work; rather they volunteer their time and resources because they feel so strongly about conservation. I welcome each new member and look forward to working with them in the years to come." Low, an employee for the State of California and a DU Life Sponsor, has held numerous volunteer positions with Ducks Unlimited since 1994, including most recently as the California State Chairman. Low believes strongly in DU's conservation message as an avid outdoorsman.

"The natural places, the wetlands, and marshes that we respect so much must be left better than we found them," said Low, who was also elected as a Regional Vice-President in St. Louis. "Leaders from the preceding generations have done this for us, and we are striving to do the same thing for our children. We must have faith that future leaders will emerge with the same love, respect, and foresight, and they will do their part to protect our resources for the next generation."
