Zambia : NATSAVE, INFOSYS ink Core-Banking Software delivery and adoption deal [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The National Savings and Credit Bank has inked a USD 2-point 6 million deal with Infosys for the delivery and adoption of a new Core-Banking Software.

NATSAVE Managing Director Cephas Chabu says the core banking software has been bought using part of the money that government has assigned to NASAVE for recapitalization.

He said as part of the recapitalization fund, the bank has already secured 60 million kwacha from government and expects to receive a balance of 50 million kwacha in a few weeks.

Chabu says NATSAVE seeks to improve its banking software to boost the bank's service delivery particularly to the un-banked population.

He said this at the inking of the deal with Infosys Vice President Venkatramana Gosavi at the bank's Head office in Lusaka.

Venkatramana said his firm is committed to make sure that National Savings and Credit Bank offers its services to the un-banked population using quality software.
