Morganstone invests Pounds 250K; makes 5 hires [South Wales Evening Post (Wales)]

(South Wales Evening Post (Wales) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Llanelli construction firm Morganstone has invested some Pounds 250,000 in new plant machinery and hired five new staff.

The company, which is targeting a turnover of Pounds 18 million this year despite only launching in 2008, has bought three new 13 tonne excavators.

The new equipment will be deployed at its sites across South Wales.

"With more than 90 staff employed, we are certain that this investment will enable us to further enhance the services we provide to our clients and ensure we can continue to deliver the highest standards across current and future developments," said Ian Morgan, managing director of Morganstone.

The new hires include Martin Jones, who joins Morganstone as health, safety and environmental manager; Ian Nurden, who joins as site engineer; Stuart Jones, who takes the role of development manager; Phil Wilmington, who is a project manager; and Ceri Hughes, who joins as site manager.

"As a growing company, we are committed to investing in training plus further strengthening our management team; it is the only way we can guarantee the high quality service we deliver to all our clients," said Morgan.

"We hope the new team members will further strengthen our construction service allowing us to contribute to our growing list of satisfied clients." (c) 2014 ProQuest Information and Learning Company; All Rights Reserved.
