When it came public back at the end of 2011, the social enterprise software provider gave an interesting investment concept. But, the company has failed to match the success of the consumer social media stocks. The software provider is concentrating on the social enterprise platforms of portals, social intranets, and external communities that enable staff and customers to better cooperate and engage. Sadly, Jive Software has still not hit the tipping point, with revenue increase just clocking in at 21% in Q1. The social software provider rivals with several other services, including the Yammer product acquired by Microsoft and Chatter developed by salesforce.com, Inc.
