United States : BLUEBIRD NETWORK finishes Broadband Technology Program, creates 1300 miles of fiber to network [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) A telecommunications firm based out of Columbia, Bluebird Network declared that it has ended its Broadband Technology Opportunity Program infrastructure grant project recently, and it is anticipated to make 1,300 route miles of telecommunications fiber to the company s network.

This grant was mainly enabled for the set up of telecommunications fiber in 59 Missouri counties ranging from Highway 50 to the Iowa border and from Kansas City to St. Louis.

We know our customers have the need to expand and augment their statewide high-speed broadband networks, especially wireless companies, medical, education, government and large business entities, Bluebird Network COO Steve Crane said. With the grant project finished, we now make that expansion possible, even in underserved and rural areas in Missouri, Illinois and surrounding states.

Bluebird is the sixth biggest private company recipient in the nation, and is one of the few that completed the project without requesting additional funds or a construction deadline extension, Bluebird Network CFO Chris Bach said. The completion will broaden business potential for any company that seeks access to a true high-speed Internet and communications network in central and northern Missouri.
