Austria : iBASIS and TELEKOM AUSTRIA GROUP inks LTE Roaming peering agreement [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) iBasis, a KPN company, and Telekom Austria Group, has entered into an LTE Roaming peering agreement which is set to benefit mobile network operator (MNO) customers of both companies by allowing a consistent, high quality LTE roaming experience for their subscribers.



This newly signed deal leverages existing GRX peering agreement between the companies, as well as each company's IP eXchange (IPX).

In a move to add value for their subscribers, a rapidly growing various interconnected operators are leveraging the global IPX ecosystem by utilizing IPX-enabled components, including Signaling/S6a and S9 (Diameter), Data/S8 and VoLTE, to make available a complete LTE Roaming solution.
