Greensboro College Names Kristen Trask Controller


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) GREENSBORO, N.C., July 14 -- Greensboro College issued the following news: Greensboro College has named Kristen Trask controller.

In that role, she is responsible for the leadership and management oversight of accounting, financial reporting and financial internal controls of the college, including coordinating the annual audit by an independent CPA firm.

She joined the college after having founded her own accounting firm specializing in providing cost-effective accounting and bookkeeping services to small businesses. She also recently has served as adjunct professor at Forsyth Technical Community College and an accounting tutor at Wake Forest University.



Previously, she had served as an accounting contractor for Accounting Personnel of the Triad, a senior accountant for BB&T's Internal Reporting Group, Daniel Professional Group and Prudential Carolinas Realty. She also had worked as a senior staff accountant at the accounting firm Dixon Hughes PLLC.

She is a board member of the Northwest Piedmont Chapter of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and a member of and volunteer for the association's Financial Literacy Committee.


She holds a B.S. in accounting from North Carolina State University and an M.S. in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a licensed CPA.
