Sony launches Xperia C3 'selfie' smartphone today [Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia)](Mobile 88 Online (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Yesterday the official Sony Xperia Twitter posted that the Japanese technology giant will be launching a selfie-oriented smartphone today, rumoured to be called the Xperia C3. Today the Sony Xperia C3 was officially unveiled, which features a front-facing wide-angle sensor and LED flash. See leaked images of the Sony Xperia C3 Labelled by Sony as the World’s Best Selfie Smartphone, the Xperia C3 comes equipped with a 5-megapixel camera on the front that is able to capture an 80-degree depth of field like what its rear 8-megapixel Exmor RS imaging sensor is capable of, along with a bunch of selfie-specific camera apps- such as Portait Retouch v.2 which automatically adjusts the image in view before capturing the photo with optimal imaging resolution. As any self-respecting (almost) main camera should be capable of nowadays, the the selfie cam will also come equipped with High Definition Recording (HDR) capabilites, so that even the videos you capture with the 5-megapixel sensor will be in HD resolution. However, the C3's display itself a 5.5-inch Triluminous display capable of just 720p resolution and 8GB of internal storage, so if you want to take a LOT of selfies and HD videos you should probably make use of the microSD slot which supports up to 32GB of expandable storage. Unlike the flagship Sony Xperia Z2, the Xperia C3 is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU from Qualcomm and Adreno 305 graphics processor. Like the Sony Xperia M2 Dual which launched in Malaysia around the same time as the Z2, the C3 will feature dual-SIM card support, but will also have the advantages of running Android 4.4 out of the box, along with 4G LTE connectivity.
