Malta more dependent on ICTMalta is becoming ever more dependent on ICT, Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth Jose Herrera said today whilst attending the release of the findings.

Dr Herrera emphasised the need to use the digital world for both work as well as enjoyment.

"This is just one of many research projects funded by the MCA. Other projects include a study of internet use by children and a study regarding elderly and their view of technology," the Parliamentary Secretary said.   The study shows that a large portion of Maltese enjoy playing video games, with 74 percent of the research group, which was made up of 1,268 people aged between three and 54, playing. A gender gap does indeed exist, with the majority of gamers (62 percent) being male.
