Introduction The objective of the acquisition is to decrease risk of a cyber-security breach on WMATA s network by upgrading WMATA s existing ArcSight ESM implementation. Once the ArcSight ESM upgrade is complete, WMATA will have greatly increased logging and monitoring capabilities, enabling WMATA security engineers and analysts to quickly investigate and respond to cyber incidents. ArcSight ESM is an industry leading Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) which provides actionable security intelligence pulled from WMATA%s event and log data. ArcSight ESM helps to identify threats, detect breaches and manage risks from internal and external sources and provides a cost-effective compliance solution. Background ArcSight ESM will be installed on a WMATA provided VMware virtual machine. ArcSight ESM will be configured to accept log data from existing WMATA devices. Current Scope of Work ArcSight vendor will provide software, software maintenance, and necessary technical support. WMATA currently has a contract with a vendor to provide installation and configuration services. Performance and Acceptance Criteria ArcSight software must be delivered to WMATA with an active service contract.
