Prince William County Department of Economic Development Taps ECU Communications as Its New Marketing & Advertising Services Agency

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. --(Business Wire)--

Prince William County-based ECU Communications announced today that the Prince William County Department of Economic Development has selected the company as its marketing and advertising services agency of record. ECU's first task in supporting the expansion of the County's visibility as a destination for business regionally, nationally and internationally will be the design and launch of a completely new website, supported by search engine optimization and online marketing.

The County selected ECU Communications out of a pool of competing bids that were submitted by marketing firms both regionally and across the country. Following the standard procurement process, the County chose ECU based on the company's overall capabilities, reputation and the combined experience of ECU's staff. ECU is a full-service advertising and marketing firm with clients in the private, nonprofit and governmen sectors.

"We're very excited to be chosen to help promote Prince William County's very robust business environment," said Jacqueline Krick, President of ECU. "Particularly because we're a Prince William County business and have benefitted immensely from the County's pro-business climate, we feel that we can articulate the County's business value proposition from a personal point of view as well," Ms. Krick added.

In February of this year, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors voted on expanding the list of "targeted industries" as focal points of future growth, emphasizing health care and life sciences, information and computer technology, advanced logistics, and private aircraft registration and servicing. The goal is to increase the number of high paying jobs within the County, which will not only reduce commute times for our residents but will also improve the quality of life for all citizens and grow Prince William County into a truly "live, work, play" destination of choice.
