Shuttle to launch its new ARM-based digital signage player-DSA2LS &DSA2LV

In response to growing market demands for cost-effective media players, Shuttle Inc. launches its two all-new ARM-based platforms including the DSA2LS signage player and the DSA2LV motherboard. Both support Android operating system with remarkably low price and excellent stability. The series meets customer demands for digital applications like menu board, digital signage, Kiosk, and more. The DSA2LS and the DSA2LV are equipped with a Freescale iMX6DL (Cortex-A9 core) 1 Ghz dual-core processor, integrating a 2D and 3D graphics core. The series supports 1080/Full HD playback capability, including MEPG2, H.264, MEPG4 and more encoding formats. With built-in 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and support for 802.11b/g/n wireless network, transmission rates reach up to 150 Mbps.

The ultra-slim DSA2LS is VESA mountable and features an internal power supply for easy configuration into signage solution. It features HDMI and VGA ports to support dual-screen display. In addition to built-in 4GB eMMC, the DSA2LS also provides one SD card reader with a theft protection cover (available screw lock) to support up to 64GB.


The DSA2LV motherboard provides HDMI and LVDS interfaces which can be directly integrated to a panel. It has a plenty of I/O, including multiple USB ports, Mini USB (device), UART interface, and SD card reader slot.

Shuttle's 10 Watt DSA2LS and 12 Volt DSA2LV feature remarkably low power consumption. Compared to the X86-based platform, the devices effectively reduce power consumed over long-term operation. With 24/7 certification and support for auto power-on and power failure recovery, the series provides a cost-effective ARM-based solution for industry applications.
