Telecoms regulator will seek to raise at least EUR 33mn from sale of remaining LTE frequencies [IntelliNews - Weekly Reports](IntelliNews - Weekly Reports Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Czech Telecommunications Office (CTU) said it will auction remaining frequencies for fourth-generation LTE mobile networks this year seeking to raise at least CZK 882mn (EUR 33mn), the regulator said in a statement on its website. Public consultations on the auction's rules will last for 1.5 month and CTU wants to launch the auction in the autumn of 2014. CTU will offer four blocks in the 1,800 MHz band and two blocks in 2,600 MHz band. The regulator raised CZK 8.5bn from the November sale of fourth-generation mobile frequencies to the country's three existing mobile phone companies. Telefonica CR paid CZK 2.8bn, T-Mobile CR - CZK 2.6bn and Vodafone CR - CZK 3.1bn for blocks in the 800 MHz, 1,800 MHz and 2,600 MHz bands. The operators have already started building their LTE networks and overall investments are expected to reach CZK 40bn.
