Luxembourg : INTELSAT provides access to C- and Ku-band network to SPEEDCAST [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Intelsat has entered into a strategic agreement to deliver permission to its C- and Ku-band network to SpeedCast, a satcom and maritime service provider.

Under the multi-year agreement, SpeedCast will have access to Intelsat's C-band and Ku-band satellite capacity, its terrestrially managed network IntelsatOneSM, and its broadband mobility network. It included 13 tailored Ku-band mobility beams on ten satellites spread around the geostationary belt.



SpeedCast benefits Intelsat's satellites and terrestrial network to provide broadband and mobility solutions to the maritime, oil & gas, and enterprise markets. SpeedCast s CEO Pierre-Jean Beylier commented "This new strategic arrangement between SpeedCast and Intelsat is another exciting step in the transformation of SpeedCast into a major global player in the satellite communications markets, on land and at sea." The CEO stated "Intelsat's global C- and Ku-band network will further enhance our ability to deliver reliable, cost-effective and fast connectivity to our customers."
