Biscom Announces Secure File Transfer Integration With PayPal

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CHELMSFORD, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/10/14 -- Biscom, a leader in secure document delivery, has embedded PayPal into Biscom's flagship Secure File Transfer (SFT) solution. With the new integration, users can associate value with a file before sending/receiving files. The PayPal connection makes it easy to manage accounts, authorize payments, send and receive money securely and automates the entire payment and delivery process.

"With this integration companies can quickly, easily and securely include the payment option of PayPal into their ecommerce activities," said Bill Ho, president, Biscom. "It's as simple as entering a price for your delivery and the delivery only becomes downloadable once the recipient has paid for it." Highlights of SFT and PayPal Integration: A single click of your mouse button lets you set up a paywall for your delivery.Payment process automation is secure and confidential. Since PayPal is tightly integrated with Biscom SFT, the option to require payment for deliveries is protected with Biscom's robust security architecture.Biscom PayPal option will work on any mobile device through a browser.Integrate PayPal with your application directly with the SFT Software development kit (SDK). SFT includes a comprehensive API layer that supports Web services, .NET, Java, SMTP and scripting languages such as Ruby and Python. How it works: With Biscom SFT, the option to require payment for deliveries can be configured for your entire organization or a smaller group. Requiring payment when delivering a file or a message is easy. While creating the delivery, the user simply sets the price point. When recipients of a paid delivery follow the delivery link, they will see a screen with payment options and can pay with a credit card or PayPal account. Once payment is successful, the recipient can download the files. This payment automation can streamline manual processes that require human intervention. Reports enable you to see the status of paid deliveries -- who has paid, how much, and who hasn't. Once payment is successful, the sender receives a paid delivery notice.

Pricing and Availability: PayPal integration is built into every SFT deployment and can be enabled at no charge. A small fee, 2.9% and $.30 per delivery, is charged by PayPal and Biscom.
