iBasis Enables LTE Roaming for Claro Brazil
BURLINGTON, Mass. --(Business Wire)--
iBasis, a KPN company, today announced that Claro (News - Alert) Brazil, a leading
mobile operator in Brazil and subsidiary of America Movil, has connected
to the iBasis LTE Signaling eXchange (LSX) for international LTE (News - Alert)
Roaming. The service will enable subscribers to Claro's 4GMax service,
available in 79 cities and towns in Brazil, to continue to enjoy LTE
quality and speed while traveling internationally. It also adds Claro's
LTE network to the iBasis (News - Alert) global LTE footprint, which includes more than
80 LTE network destinations worldwide. Claro was the first mobile
operator to offer LTE service in Brazil with the 2012 launch of 4GMax.
