AirPatrol Corp Lands Top Honors in 2014 Tech Awards

(NASDAQ:SYRX), today announced it has been named "Superstar Company of the Year" by the Howard Tech Council (HTC (News - Alert)), a Washington, D.C.-area organization that works in conjunction with the State of Maryland's Center for Entrepreneurship and the Howard County Economic Development Authority to foster and advance technology firms in the state's self-styled "Cyber and Technology Center" just north of the nation's capital. AirPatrol, which develops systems that provide mobile device security and services based on where a smartphone or tablet is located, beat out numerous other competitors to be recognized as one of the region's leaders in technological innovation.

In support of its solutions and leadership in both location-based services as well as mobile security, Howard County Executive and Lieutenant Governor candidate, Ken Ulman, attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of AirPatrol's newest office in March. A week later, Mr. Ulman cited AirPatrol as an example of innovative businesses during his State of the County address.

The award ceremony will b held on May 28, 2014 during the Annual HTC Tech Awards held at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab's Kossiakoff Center in Maryland. Six other companies will also be given various awards: Light Point Security, Triea Systems, Vheda Health, Vasoptic Medical, Advancing Synergy (News - Alert), and Quark Security.
