21Vianet Joins Forces with Aryaka [Professional Services Close - Up]

(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aryaka, an 'As-a-Service' provider of WAN Optimization, Network, Application Delivery and Cloud Network announced that it has entered into a partnership with 21Vianet Group, Inc., a carrier-neutral internet data center services provider in China.

According to a release, the partnership involves combining the infrastructure and technology assets of the two companies in order to make advanced accelerated network, application and cloud services available to China-based companies and international companies conducting business in China.

Under the agreement with Aryaka, 21Vianet has become a "Fusion" partner leveraging its own infrastructure assets with Aryaka's global network of distributed Points of Presence (POPs). 21Vianet customers now have access to dedicated private core network and accelerated access to data, application and cloud services though POPs in Guangzhou, Xian, Beijing and Shanghai. The combined power of the two companies' assets effectively leapfrogs the network and communications infrastructure issues that many businesses face in China such as slow network speed, poor application and cloud services access, and low quality of last-mile connections. 21Vianet customers will now have the advantage of accelerated traffic between branch offices, improved application performance for mobile workers, and faster access to SaaS and IP-based applications -- all in a fully managed cloud-based service.

"As local businesses grow internationally, access to the highest quality of optimized network, application and cloud services is an imperative," said Josh Chen, founder, chairman and CEO of 21Vianet. "The partnership and technology that Aryaka provides will help ensure that 21Vianet meets and exceeds this need of our customers, and that we help our customers conduct business at unparalleled speed, efficiency and effectiveness." "21Vianet is one of the major catalysts to the new era of enterprise computing in China," said Ajit Gupta, founder, president and CEO of Aryaka. "We are proud and excited about this partnership because it combines the innovation, assets, and entrepreneurialism of our two companies in a way that directly solves the business and technology challenges of our customers. We believe it will help accelerate the great achievements of 21Vianet in the China market."
