(South Wales Evening Post (Wales) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ALAN Sugar may not be in residence, but the next generation of Swansea's IT stars are getting together under one roof to showcase their computer science skills to prospective employers in Wales.

The would-be apprentices will be hoping to catch the eye of IT businesses at a project fair.

Around 100 Swansea University computer science students will be giving demonstrations and presentations and aiming to help solve real life business dilemmas at the same time.

The event, run by the university's computer science department and Software Alliance Wales, will be held at Techhub, in Swansea's Wind Street, on Thursday, June 5 from 5.30 to 7.30pm.

Spokesman Neal Harman said: "It is an ideal forum for employers to recruit from the pool of Swansea University's home-grown talent with the high-level IT skills required to help businesses grow sustainably." (c) 2014 ProQuest Information and Learning Company; All Rights Reserved.
