LOUIS, May 21 -- Energy Central issued the following news release: Allan Connolly, an operations and technology executive with broad global leadership experience, has been named Chief Executive Officer and President of Aclara Technologies LLC. Aclara is a leading provider of intelligent infrastructure technologies to water, gas and electric utilities. Connolly joins Aclara from a position as Chief Operating Officer of Culligan, a world leader in the water treatment industry. Prior to his tenure at Culligan, where he spent seven years in progressively more responsible leadership positions, he held executive and management roles with GE Energy and GE Global Research. Connolly is charged with growing Aclara, a well-regarded brand in advanced metering infrastructure and the smart grid. He plans to make a fast start by identifying new opportunities that will benefit both existing and new customers.
