Scriptel Corporation Announces OmniScript: a Universal Signature Integration PlatformCOLUMBUS, Ohio --(Business Wire)-- Scriptel® Corporation (Scriptel), a leading provider of electronic signature capture solutions and devices, today announced the launch of its OmniScript product, a small integrated web server that can be installed on a personal computer or embedded device to connect Scriptel ScripTouch® electronic signature pads to a computer network or local application. "One of the objectives when designing OmniScript was to give users the ability to locate and connect to any ScripTouch signature device within their available network and process workflows on multiple devices simultaneously," said Codey Jenkins, Product Manager at Scriptel Corporation. "OmniScript has many advantages that simplify integration issues including any web based or installed applications which can directly manage Scriptel ScripTouch signature pads and create two-way communication." The resulting product not only fulfills ease of integration but also provides a simple cross-platform programming interace to any software application. Customers and software developers will be able to rapidly support electronic signature capture in virtually any network/hardware/OS scenario. "At Gables Residential, we recently had a need to have renters electronically sign for package deliveries and chose Scriptel signature pads with OmniScript software because of the low cost and ability to integrate with our custom web application," said Al Rubin, Project Manager for Gables Residential. An application can be served via a browser to a client PC and the application server will be able to directly manage the client's signature device via the OmniScript software inside the local firewall, without the need for any special configuration. This structure assists clients to overcome key challenges in harnessing cloud based methods while creating a distinct advantage in the marketplace.
