Etisalat presents its M2M Awards [Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates)]


(Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ABU DHABI, 13 May, 2014 (WAM)-- Etisalat presented its first M2M Awards to five winners on the second day of M2M Middle East forum in Dubai yesterday.

Organised for the first time, the awards presented in five categories, acknowledge the recent advances and uptake of M2M technologies and excellence in the M2M ecosystem and achievements.

Dubai Civil Defence was awarded the Largest M2M Deployment Award in UAE-based on the number of machines connected, efficiency and return of deployment. Ministry of Social Affairs won Emirates Energy Star Energy Saving Award for being the highest saving participant in Emirates Energy Star program based on percentage of energy saving.



In the same category, Deyaar Development PJSC was awarded the Emirates Energy Star Program Deployment Award for the highest Emirates Energy Star deployments based on number of buildings connected to the program.

Bee ah Sharjah Environmental Management was awarded Etisalat Intelligent Fleet Management award for having the largest fleet management deployment in UAE for the year based on number of vehicles connected to the solution, while the final award was presented to Pacific Control as Etisalat s M2M Partner of the Year.


"We are proud to host this special forum for the second consecutive year.As the leaders in digital services and ICT services, we believe in the importance of having a reliable infrastructure and high-quality M2Mservices. Therefore we have introduced these awards to honor the pioneers in M2M implementation and intend to pursue this on a broader scale annually," said Abdulla Hashim, Senior Vice President Digital services Etisalat.

Held in Dubai on 11and 12 May, the 2nd M2M Middle East Forum provided a unique platform for regional and international executives from telecom operators, M2M solution providers and end users to explore and discuss how implementing M2M technologies can create new products and revenue streams and improve operational efficiency.
