SkyVision launches new fibre network in Guinea [TeleGeography CommsUpdate]


(TeleGeography CommsUpdate Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Global communications provider SkyVision Global Networks has launched integrated fibre and wireless services under the SkyVision SkyFibre banner in Conakry, the capital of Guinea. According to a press release, the upgrade has increased the bandwidth on offer to existing business customers, with Dror Limor, SkyVision VP of Sales, commenting: 'SkyVision invests a great deal into its global infrastructure and is constantly expanding its reach. Our recent network infrastructure in Guinea was specifically designed to support corporate as well as small business telecom and application bandwidth requirements.' *The new network, which is connected to the African Coast to Europe (ACE) submarine cable, will also allow SkyVision to serve new customers across Conakry and throughout Guinea with its full range of VSAT services. The wholesale broadband provider portfolio includes internet access, end-to-end VPN and private networks, as well as value added services (VAS), such as network security, cloud services, voice, business continuity and hosting solutions.
