Load DynamiX Storage Validation Solutions Adopted by Tolly Group to Benchmark Performance Superiority of IBM FlexSystem and Sophos Products

Load DynamiX, the leader in storage infrastructure performance validation, and Tolly Group, a leading provider of independent IT product testing and validation services today announced they have completed two performance validation reports, for IBM (News - Alert) Corporation and Sophos, that showcase the performance advantages of their respective products. Using LoadDynamiX storage performance validation appliances, Tolly recently tested the VM migration and aggregate network performance of the IBM FlexSystem® Network Architecture and the VMware Server and VDI client application performance of the Sophos Antivirus for vShield v1.0.

IBM commissioned the Tolly Group to benchmark the network capacity and VM migration performance of its IBM Flex System. Testing was conducted in a fully-loaded IBM Flex Server chassis running a VMware virtualized environment and compared that solution with a similar configuration using Cisco (News - Alert) Systems Unified Computing System (UCS).

Sophos commissioned the Tolly Grup to evaluate its Antivirus for vShield v1.0 solution and compare its performance to two other vShield offerings: McAfee MOVE Agentless 3.0 and Trend Micro (News - Alert) Deep Security 9. Tests encompassed a range of VMware ESXi 5.5 and Microsoft Server 2008 virtual server applications including web, database and CIFS file services. A virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment with 120 Windows 7 enterprise virtual machines on was also evaluated.
